I was head-over-heels in love with my Oculus Quest 2 when I first got it for my birthday. I couldn’t stop playing games like Beat Saber and Synth Riderz, but was always annoyed by the fact that the volume on the headset is extremely low in my opinion.

I was under the impression that adding headphones to the unit would solve the low volume issue, but I was mistaken. Even when I plugged in my Bose Quiet Comfort noise-cancelling headphones, the volume did not increase.

I ended up figuring out that I would need a portable amplifier in order to make the unit louder.

I tried several on Amazon and ended up having the return them. After a lot of buying-and-returning and trial-and-error, I finally found a solution that works.

It’s affordable, light weight, and easy to set-up.

Here is Jon modeling the setup for me.

REQUIRED

(1) Neoteck 3.5mm Headphone Amplifier — $28.99

(2) Lovphone Quick Mount Universal Holder — $9.99

(3) 3.5mm Male to 3.5mm Male Coiled Audio Cord — $6.99

(4) 3.5mm Male to 2.5mm Male Coiled Audio Cord — $8.99

You will need to start out by attaching the Lovphone Quick Mount Universal Holder to the back of the NeoTeck Headphone Amplifier. This will then clip on to the front of your head strap. The clip is the perfect width and does not move around while playing games with intense and frequent movement.

Once the clip is attached, use the coiled audio cables to connect the amplifier to the Oculus, and your headphones to the amp. Then you’re good to go!

(4) Silicone Face Cover — $9.00
